Eye tracking
Our research focuses on cognitive processes involved in visual search and graph comprehension and the combined measurement of eye movements and event-related potentials. We are also interested in testing oculomotor functions in neurological patients.
We use eye-tracking-techniques, which allow us to monitor the sequence of information selection and acquisition. Recording eye movements is a method which provides a rich and detailed description of the ongoing and moment-by-moment processing.
We have two labs equipped with Eyelink I and Eyelink II eye-tracking systems by SR Research. They use infrared video-monitoring at a sampling rate of 250 - 500 Hz.
