Abstract:
The aim of this research proposal is to test key assumptions of our NC-VEX Model regarding the neuro-cognitive foundations of the atypical HRV stress reactivity pattern linked to chronic exhaustion, marked by heightened phasic HRV during acute stress. To achieve this goal, we will integrate laboratory experiments with innovative ambulatory assessments, MRI methods, and just-in-time adaptive interventions, drawing on synergies from previous projects conducted by both research groups involved in this proposal. The specific methodological approach and hypotheses are outlined in the respective work package (WP which will be described in detail below.
